St. Patrick's Day Pub
Tickets go on sale this week at the Biz Booth for our annual St. Patrick's Day Pub, which takes place at 9:30 PM on the 17th in Forwell Hall. Get your tickets at the Biz Booth for $3, and enjoy some Irish cheer and green beer.
Welcome back from March break. We've got many events planned this week - many sexy events that is. It is Sex Week, so we've got the annual Best Buns competition, Sex Toy Bingo, and the MTV LoveFest Pub on tap this week. Keep reading for all the details.
Free Comedy Nooner - Bryan O'Gorman and Kathleen McGee
Tuesday, March 9th at 12 PM in Oasis Be sure to attend this free show featuring not one, but two hilarious standup comedians, Bryan O'Gorman and Kathleen McGee.
While most people his age were wasting their time playing with rattles or breast feeding, by the age of 2 Bryan O'Gorman was already touring the globe as a stand up comic and anti Rosie O'Donnell activist. Known for his unique ability to combine all aspects of comedy into a performance that will leave you feeling empowered and horny.
Kathleen McGee is the girl your parents warned you about. She will make you laugh and blush all at the same time. Kathleen's unapologetic, dark, and sassy sense of humour will have you talking long after the show is over.
Free Movie in Oasis: Brothers
Tuesday, March 9th at 7 PM in Oasis This week's free movie is Brothers, starring Natalie Portman, Tobey
Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal. Maguire stars as a Marine who is missing
and presumed dead in Afghanistan. While he is away, his brother
(Gyllenhaal) forms a relationship with his brother's wife. Things take
a dramatic turn when the missing solider returns home to his family. Free popcorn served during the first hour of the film.
Wednesday, March 10th at 12 PM in Forwell Hall Shake your booty for cash! We will be awarding prizes for best male and female butts. Come out to witness this prestigious annual competition, which will be taking place at 12 PM in Forwell Hall. If you wish to particpate as a contestant, signup takes place on the spot. Free to enter.
First Run Film - Alice in Wonderland
Wednesday, March 10th at Rainbow Cinemas This week's First Run Film is Alice in Wonderland, director Tim Burton's take on the classic tale of Alice, a young girl who falls into a magical world full of strange characters and darkness around every corner. Johnny Depp stars. Note: The movie will NOT be shown in 3D at this theatre.
Tickets on sale Monday through Wednesday at the Biz Booth, between 9 AM and 4 PM each day. $3.50 for students, and $5 for guests. You may purchase a maximum of two tickets.
Wednesday, March 10th at 9 PM in the Out Back Shack Win fun and sexy prizes by competing in our monthly night of Sex Toy Bingo. Hundreds of dollars worth of sexual paraphernalia available to be won at each event. No cover charge. All ages for Fanshawe students with student ID.
Thursday, March 11th at 9:30 PM in the Out Back Shack As part of Sex Week here at Fanshawe, come out for the MTV LoveFest Pub, featuring DJ Dopey. There will be huge prizes and giveaways. Tickets are $3 in advance at the Biz Booth or $4 at the door. All-ages with Fanshawe student card, 19+ without.
New Music Night

It's our weekly night of free, live music. All ages for Fanshawe students with student ID, 19+ without.

disBand Audtion Tour - Fanshawe's Battle of the Bands
Thursday, March 18th/Friday, March 19th/Monday, March 22nd
This year's Battle of the Bands competition at Fanshawe will have a twist. The finals will be attended by Jesse Giddings, the host of Much Music's disBand, as well as the judging panel from disBand, Mark Spicoluk, Colin Lewis, Katie Clark and Chase Parsons. You could be on an episode of the show!
Register for free in advance to compete at the Biz Booth. Registration ends March 12th. See Biz Booth for official line-up on March 15th.
Round 1 takes place on Thursday, March 18th at 9 PM in Forwell Hall. Admission is $5.
Round 2 takes place on Friday, March 19th at 9 PM in Forwell Hall. Admission is $5.
The finals, featuring the host and judges from disBand takes place on Monday, March 22nd at 9 PM in the Out Back Shack. Admission is $5.
Campus Idol
Tuesday, March 23rd/Wednesday, March 24th/Saturday, March 27th
Register at the Biz Booth for this annual competition where you can win a grand prize of $1,000! Round 1 takes place on Tuesday, March 23rd, and Round 2 is Wednesday, March 24th, both days at 5 PM in Forwell Hall. You must sing with an accompaniment CD or accapella. Each singer will sing two songs, and the better score will be used to choose the winner. The winner from rounds 1 and 2 will be posted the next day at the Biz Booth.
Whomever is selected to represent Fanshawe will compete in the Ontario finals, which take place Saturday, March 27th at 7 PM in the Out Back Shack (no cover charge). $1,000 goes to the Ontario wide winner, a New Year's trip for two to Montreal courtesy of Breakaway Tours goes to the runner up.
