Hours: Depend on the availability of student volunteers

The Sharing Shop was established to help the ever-growing number of students in financial need. Through a student-run food bank and clothing exchange, Fanshawe students can give and receive food, clothing, textbooks and household items.

Students of Fanshawe College are welcome to visit the Sharing Shop to browse or receive free items. Donations are always greatly appreciated, but we do understand that a student’s budget can be tight.

How you can help
The Sharing Shop is always looking for enthusiastic, friendly and out-going volunteers. Volunteering your time will not only make you feel good, it will also help you to meet new people and enhance your college life. Become a volunteer today! Contact Janet Ostrom at the Student Success Centre.

You can also drop off non-perishable food items, clean clothing, recent textbooks, working household items, and anything else that you think someone in need could use. Monetary donations are welcome. Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:
  • Library, L1003
  • General Studies Division, E2035
  • Human Services Division, D3024
  • The Student Success Centre, F2010
  • Student Union office, F1011
  • Sharing Shop, B1050
If you are considering making a donation to the Sharing Shop, we ask that food be non-perishable, clothing be clean and household items be in working condition.
