Located in B1050, The Sharing Shop is a service run by student volunteers, which provides students in financial need with the necessities of life. We understand that students often find themselves in situations that make it difficult to buy groceries, toiletries, or cleaning supplies. The Sharing Shop receives donations from students, staff and outside sources, enabling us to provide these items to students in temporary need.

Current students of Fanshawe College are welcome to visit the Sharing Shop up to 3 times per semester with valid student ID. Fill out the intake form to apply to being using The Sharing Shop.

How you can help

The Sharing Shop is always looking for student volunteers. Students that are able to dedicate 2 hours weekly - all semester, are encouraged to apply for a position.

Position expectations: Adept with Excel, able to process in-coming donations, inventory, cleaning, open and closing duties, follow instructions, communicate effectively, 20 lbs lifting and other duties as required.

If you are interested in assisting with The Sharing Shop, fill out our volunteer form.

You can also drop off non-perishable food items, toiletries, and cleaning supplies. Monetary donations are also welcome in SC2001. Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:
  • The Sharing Shop, B1050
  • Student Union office, SC2001
  • Bookstore, F1002
  • Counselling and Accessibility Services, F2010
