Used Book Shop

Room SUB 1016 in the Student Union Building

During the first two weeks of the fall and winter semesters, the Fanshawe Student Union runs a consignment Used Book Shop for students to use. Students can bring their used textbooks to sell as well as buy used textbooks at a discounted price for their classes.

Drop off your books

You can drop off any textbooks that you would like to sell during the following dates:
  • August 15th through September 2nd, 2016: Weekdays, 9 am to 4 pm in the FSU Office (SC2001)
  • September 6th and September 7th, 2016: 9 am to 6 pm in the Used Book Shop (SUB1016)
  • September 8th through September 12th, 2016: Weekdays, 9 am to 4 pm in the Used Book Shop (SUB1016)
Once you have dropped off your books, they remain in the Used Book Shop until the indicated pick-up date.

Buy Books

  • September 6th and September 7th, 2016: 9 am to 6 pm in the Used Book Shop (SUB1016)
  • September 8th through September 15th, 2016: Weekdays, 9 am to 4 pm in the Used Book Shop (SUB1016)

Pick up unsold books

If your books don’t sell, you can pick them up during the following dates in the Used Book Shop (SUB1016):
  • September 19th through September 22nd, 2016: 9 am to 4 pm
  • September 23rd, 2016: 9 am to 12 pm
* Please Note: Please note that books not picked up become the property of the Fanshawe Student Union.

Pick up your cheques

If you sold books, you can pick up your cheque between September 26th and September 30th, 2016 from 9 am to 4 pm in the FSU Office (SC2001).

Important Information

  • We are not responsible for the condition of the book.
  • Books can only be picked up on the specified dates - after that they will become the property of the FSU (NO EXCEPTIONS!)
  • The final day to pick up unsold books is September 23rd before noon in SUB 1016!!
  • You must KEEP YOUR RECEIPT in order to pick up your money and/or books.
  • The Student Union will be charging $1.00 per book sold to help offset the overhead costs.
  • The FSU has the right to refuse certain books.
