(London, Ont.) – The results of the recent Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) presidential election have been formally appealed. Two appeals have been received. The presidential candidates were informed of the appeals prior to the release of this statement.
In accordance with the FSU Elections Policy, the Student Administrative Council (S.A.C.) Board has appointed a committee of three impartial Board members who were not involved in the election to review the appeal.
The committee has already convened once and is scheduled to meet again this week to continue its review. The committee will complete its review and determine the outcome in accordance with the FSU Elections Policy. We anticipate that this process will be completed in the coming days.
The FSU is committed to promoting fair and transparent elections by ensuring that all established policies are consistently upheld. The appeals process supports this commitment by providing a structured and impartial method for reviewing concerns and helping to maintain trust in the electoral system.
