The FSU is an organization committed to excellence in service and student support within the diverse student community of Fanshawe College.
The Fanshawe Student Union is a student representative body, designed to meet the various needs and expectations
of students attending Fanshawe College. We currently operate and maintain two separate buildings on Fanshawes London
Student Union Building (SUB)
The Student Union Building is situated in the centre of Fanshawe between the Library and Community Fitness Centre (J-Gym). It consists of Forwell Hall, a 400 seat multi-purpose facility; the Falcons Nest
, a unique food service outlet (SUB 1009); The Fringe Co.
, an exciting campus hair salon (SUB 1011); the Biz Booth
, your info/ticket source; and the Gamesroom
, which consists of seven pool tables. We also offer two bank machines, one located in The Out Back Shack and the other in Forwell Hall. Plus, we run a Used Book Shop
in September and January in SUB 1016.
Finally, the most popular destination is The Out Back Shack
, a 180 seat restaurant which is open weekdays 11 AM until 7 PM (open later on Mondays for Wing Night and select Tuesdays and Wednesdays when hosting an event. Limited menu after 7 pm on those nights). The OBS features a full service bar, unique décor, 12 different draught taps and a new expanded menu.
FSU Student Centre
FSU Student Centre is located behind J Gyms and situated between the three campus residences. It is a two storey building with over 40,000 square feet of space. The SC main floor includes the Oasis
, a unique 300-seat dining area featuring a five-station marché food court and the FSU Office (SC 1000). The second floor features the Interrobang/FSU Publications
office, a variety of student lounge space, club lockers, two club meeting rooms and a Muslim prayer room. The Alumni Lounge is also on the second floor, with a number of tables, chairs, sofas and four smaller meeting rooms. The FSU is proud of our student footprint at the main campus and we encourage students to make good use of this space.
