Health Plan (Domestic Students)


The information below, with the exception of the section titled International Students Health Plan applies to DOMESTIC students only. International students should visit https://morcare.ca/home/52-fanshawe-college for information on their health plan.

Full-time registered post-secondary domestic students are automatically covered under the FSU Health Plan for prescription drugs, dental benefits and accident benefits. The deadline for January 2023 intake students to opt-out of the FSU Health Plan, opt-in family members, or choose which type of coverage you wish to have was Monday, January 16, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.

Benefits

  • Full academic year coverage (September 1st to August 31st)
  • Student card may be used as a pay-direct drug card (accepted at most pharmacies across Canada)
  • Prescription Drug coverage
  • Dental coverage
  • Extended Health coverage - vision, physiotherapy, massage therapy, etc.
  • Accident coverage
  • Option to opt out if you have similar coverage
  • Option to opt in your dependents

Co-Op Health Plan

If you are on a co-op for the Winter 2023 academic term (January 2023 through April 2023) you only need opt-in to the health plan if you were not a full-time, post-secondary/blended London campus student during the Fall 2022 academic term. If you were a full-time, post-secondary/blended London campus student in the fall 2022 term, you already paid for a full year health plan and the health plan you used in the fall term will continue to work until August 31, 2023.

The deadline to opt-in to the health plan was Monday, January 16, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.

Claim Submission Information

If you pay for prescription medication, dental work or any other services covered under the FSU Health Plan without using your student card, you can get reimbursed by filling out the appropriate form above.

Fanshawe students can enjoy 30% off regular priced Rexall Exclusive Brands when they use their Rexall Exclusive Savings Card. Please note that after November 2021 students will receive a 20% discount.

To access the Rexall Exclusive Savings Card, students can visit www.rexall.ca/rexallexclusivesavingscard and enter their first name, last name, and Group ID, to instantly download or print their card.

International Students Health Plan

All Fanshawe International students are covered under the Morcare health plan.
