Full-time registered post-secondary domestic students are automatically covered under the FSU Health Plan for prescription drugs, dental benefits and accident benefits. The information provided on this page applies to DOMESTIC students only. All Fanshawe INTERNATIONAL students are covered under the Morcare health plan. Please visit morcare.ca to view complete plan details, brochures, downloads, family opt-ins, and more. You can also inquire in person at the International Office, Room E2025.
Coverage is available for one full academic year (September 1 to August 31) and includes prescription drugs, dental care, extended health care (vision, physiotherapy, massage therapy, etc.) and accident coverage.
Changes to your coverage can be made before the applicable deadline and include:
January 2025 intake students can make changes to their coverage by visiting wespeakstudent.com before the Winter 2025 deadline. The deadline was January 17, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
Note, a confirmation receipt will be provided when the opt-out is completed successfully and may take up to 8 weeks for the opt-out reimbursement to be received. If the reimbursement is not received after this timeline, please contact the FSU directly for assistance.

If you are on an approved Co-Op Term for the Winter 2025 semester and were not a full-time Fanshawe College student in the Fall 2024 Semester, you have not been enrolled into the student health plan, as you have not paid the health plan fee. If you wish to opt-in to the FSU Health Plan, please contact the FSU Office directly at 519.452.4109 or via live chat during the hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The coverage period runs from January 1, 2025 through August 31, 2025.

To utilize your health plan, you will need to provide the following information to your provider to direct bill for you and/or to make an online claim.

If you pay for prescription medication, dental work or any other services covered under the FSU Health Plan without using your FANCard , you can submit a claim online or by mail.

Your claim will be processed within 3–4 business days and your reimbursement will be direct deposited into your account.
