Bursaries and Awards

The Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) and Fanshawe College have many bursary, award and scholarship opportunities to help students pay for college. If you have any questions about financial aid, contact FSU Finance Coordinator Jerry Thomas.

Paul Masse FSU Work Bursary

The Paul Masse FSU Work Bursary is available for FSU employees who are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program who meet the following requirements:

  • Student must achieve a minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Student must demonstrate financial need
  • Student must have completed at least 50 hours of work for the FSU during the Fall semester of study
  • Student must meet Ontario Residency criteria
  • Student must meet Canadian Citizenship criteria

Applications will be made available, upon request, to eligible students by contacting the Student Awards Office at studentawards@nullfanshawec.ca.

Fanshawe College Bursaries

Fanshawe College Student Assistance Bursaries have been established by the College, in accordance with Ministry guidelines related to tuition fees. These bursaries are available to students who have a demonstrated financial need while in school. Both educational and personal expenses related to program study will be considered. Students attending on a full-time basis within a post-secondary or post-diploma program at Fanshawe College are eligible to apply. For more information, visit Fanshawe Bursaries .

Student Awards

Many different organizations and companies outside of Fanshawe offer funding to students. Some awards are open to all students and others may be limited to students in specific programs. Scholarships

A scholarship is an award based on academic achievement and other criteria like leadership skills or community involvement. For more information, visit Fanshawe Scholarships .

Work Study and ISWEP

The Fanshawe College Work Study Bursary Program is designed to provide work opportunities to full-time post-secondary or post-diploma students with a demonstrated financial need. Students would normally work a maximum of 8-10 hours per study period week or up to 35 hours a week during the summer.

The International Student Work Experience Program (ISWEP) is designed to provide international students with an opportunity to develop skills and gain work experience while attending Fanshawe College.
