The Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) and Fanshawe College have many bursary, award and scholarship opportunities to help students pay for college. If you have any questions about financial aid, contact FSU Vice President, Student Engagement Gideon Bett.
All FSU Bursaries and Awards can be found and applied for on the Bursaries Portal or Student Awards Portal , unless otherwise specified. Be sure to review these Dates to Remember for application opening and closing dates for bursaries and awards.
FSU Assistance Bursary: General financial assistance bursary for full-time domestic students studying full-time in a post-secondary program in the current term who demonstrate financial need. Included within the Fanshawe Assistance Bursary (FAB). By applying to FAB, the student is automatically considered for over 100 other bursaries (including the FSU Assistance Bursary).
FSU Textbook Assistance Bursary: Provides assistance to help offset the cost of textbooks, supplies and kits for full-time post-secondary students at Fanshawe College in financial need whom are not receiving other forms of financial assistance for textbooks and course materials. Application and budget submission is required. Please contact Student Awards at studentawards@nullfanshawec.ca for more information.
Paul Masse FSU Work Bursary: Available for FSU Employees who are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program, who meet the following requirements:
Applications for the Paul Masse FSU Work Bursary will be made available, upon request, to eligible students by contacting Student Awards at studentawards@nullfanshawec.ca.
FSU Student Leadership Award: Awarded to student(s) who demonstrate involvement in the Fanshawe Student Union and/or Fanshawe College (with preference given to involvement in the Fanshawe Student Union). At the time of selection, the recipients must:
Six awards of $1000.00 are presented annually. Students may only win this award once in their lifetime. A supplemental question is required to be answered to be considered for this award.
The Fanshawe College Work Study Bursary Program is designed to provide work opportunities to full-time post-secondary or post-diploma students with a demonstrated financial need. Students would normally work a maximum of eight to ten hours per study period week or up to thirty-five hours a week during the summer.
The International Student Work Experience Program (ISWEP) is designed to provide international students with an opportunity to develop skills and gain work experience while attending Fanshawe College.

Fanshawe College Student Assistance Bursaries have been established by the College, in accordance with Ministry guidelines related to tuition fees. These bursaries are available to students who have a demonstrated financial need while in school. Both educational and personal expenses related to program study will be considered. Students attending on a full-time basis within a post-secondary or post-diploma program at Fanshawe College are eligible to apply. For more information, visit Fanshawe Bursaries .

Many different organizations and companies outside of Fanshawe offer funding to students. Some awards are open to all students and others may be limited to students in specific programs.
