Office of the Ombuds
Notice published on June 26, 2025
Key information:
- The College has closed the Office of the Ombuds at Fanshawe, citing budget constraints, alternative options for support, and a decline in enrollment.
- Since 1993, the Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) and Fanshawe College have jointly funded the Office of the Ombuds to provide confidential, impartial and informal support with the goal of dispute-resolution to all members of the Fanshawe community. The FSU strongly opposed this decision to close the Office.
