Hello, Falcons!

I am a Police Foundations student and determined to help society because I believe in the value of good deeds and the difference they can make in people’s lives. That is why I am honoured to be part of the FSU team.

Engaged in the community, I have been taking part in the FSU events, being a Class Representative, volunteering in Red Squad, The Sharing Shop, and other activities at Fanshawe and outside. It has allowed me to meet wonderful people and make incredible connections. As an international student, I know how much of a difference it makes in my personal and professional life.

Working in public safety, with bachelor’s degrees in Police Science and Law in Brazil, I have developed good skills in conflict resolution, communication, and teamwork, combined with my core values of integrity and excellence, which I believe will allow me to help and work on behalf of students.

Jerry Thomas

Hello, Falcons! I’m Jerry Thomas, your Finance Coordinator for the 2024/2025 term. Currently pursuing Business Management, but my journey extends beyond the classroom as a Class Representative and Inspire Mentor. With a background as a retail manager, I bring skills in project management, operations, and finance to the table.

As an international student, I’m passionate about fostering diversity and inclusion. During my tenure, I’m committed to enhancing financial literacy, focusing on budgeting, taxes, investments, and credit for all students. I’m here to ensure that every student feels confident and in control of their financial future.

Beyond the numbers, you’ll find me on the soccer field, diving into the pool, or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen while binge-watching anime.

Sophia Mills-Vissers

My name is Sophia Mills-Vissers (she/her), and I am thrilled to be your Student Life Coordinator for the 2024-2025 school year! Some of you may recognize me from my previous role as the FSU front desk clerk, or you may have seen me at the downtown campus where I am enrolled in the event planning program; for others, I may be a new face entirely. Either way, I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at the upcoming FSU events!

As a fellow student, I recognize how stressful school can be and know how important it is to give students the space to unwind and have some fun outside of classes. My goal as the Student Life Coordinator is to help students thrive academically, socially, and personally. I aim to promote inclusivity and foster a sense of community and belonging across all Fanshawe campuses.

I look forward to making this year as enjoyable and memorable as possible, together!
