The committee appointed to review the recent election appeals has completed its work and reached a decision.
Following a thorough review, both appeals have been denied and the results of the election will stand as originally declared.
We thank all candidates for their participation and engagement in the FSU Election, and we acknowledge those who brought forward appeals as part of a process that supports accountability and confidence in our elections.
We also thank the members of the Appeals Committee for their careful and impartial consideration of the matters before them.
We recognize that this process has highlighted some areas within our Elections Policy that require further clarity and improvement. This is a valuable opportunity for growth, and we are committed to reviewing and strengthening our policies moving forward. We appreciate our student members for helping to identify these gaps and contributing to the ongoing development of a more robust and effective framework.
To protect the privacy of individuals involved, the FSU will not release detailed information related to complaints, appeals, or deliberations beyond what is necessary to communicate the outcome. The FSU remains committed to transparency, fairness, and effective governance, while respecting these privacy considerations.
