The FSU Members Meeting is a chance for members of the Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) to discuss feedback, learn more about their FSU fees, and find out how the FSU and the Board of Directors are supporting their needs as students. All members are welcome to attend. At the FSU Members Meeting, the FSU’s Annual Financial Statement will be presented and the Board will share other important updates.
The Members Meeting is open to all members of the FSU. All full-time students at Fanshawe College who are actively progressing in their programs are considered members of the FSU. Members can voice their opinions and concerns in all areas of the FSU and College affairs.
Unfortunately, part-time students are not considered members of the FSU and are therefore not able to attend the Members Meeting.
Directors are elected to represent all full-time Fanshawe College students on the Student Administrative Council (S.A.C.) Board of the FSU. As Directors of the board, they are responsible for defining the strategic goals to be implemented by the operations of the FSU. Directors are a major policy-making body of the FSU. For more information on the Directors, visit our Directors page.
The FSU Members Meeting is your opportunity as a student to engage directly with the elected student leaders who are helping to shape your college experience. Whether you are familiar with the FSU and what it does, or just interested in learning more, the FSU Members Meeting is an invaluable way to connect with the FSU and find out how your student leaders are working to support YOU.
The Members Meeting will last approximately one hour, depending on the length and depth of discussions.
The Members Meeting is casual, with an opportunity to network and mingle over snacks before and after the meeting. To prepare yourself on the FSU’s by-laws, governance structure, and services, it is recommended that you watch the FSU Leadership Modules and take the quiz to test your knowledge
