Goal of the Club: The goal of the Bayanihan Club is to create a welcoming and supportive community for all students at Fanshawe College. This student organization aims to achieve several key objectives: Cultural Celebration: The primary goal is to celebrate and promote Filipino culture, heritage, and traditions. Members of the society come together to share their rich cultural experiences, from traditional dances and music to delicious Filipino cuisine. Networking and Socialization: The society provides a platform for students to connect, build friendships, and form a strong support network. College life can be challenging, especially for international students, and this organization fosters a sense of belonging and camaraderie. Community Outreach: Beyond campus life, the club may engage in various community service and outreach activities. This can include volunteering, fundraising, and collaborating with other organizations to give back to the local community. Cultural Awareness: Another important goal is to increase cultural awareness and understanding among the broader college community. The society may organize cultural events, workshops, or presentations to educate others about Filipino culture and traditions. Professional Development: In addition to cultural and social aspects, the club may also offer opportunities for its members to enhance their personal and professional development. This could include workshops on resume building, career guidance, and leadership development. Unity and Pride: The organization fosters a sense of unity and pride among students, encouraging them to take pride in their identity and cultural background while embracing diversity and inclusivity within the larger college community. Ultimately, the club seeks to create a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and culturally during their time at Fanshawe College.

Goal of the Club: The PLER’s goal within its adolescent stage is to nurture future law enforcement officers. Targeting individuals from the Police Foundations program we will create a weekly schedule to bring about the success of our members and evoke an encouraging and supportive atmosphere as we develop the skills needed for the field. As our group expands and evolves into adulthood, we would like to discuss our learning with the Fanshawe student body. We believe there is much misinformation within public media and to support this our club will host events supporting local Police Departments and release monthly articles/reading materials to bring attention to the amazing work of your local officers. We hope that in time our Fanshawe Student body will come to learn the importance of law enforcement and the different strategies they use to keep London and its campus safe.

Goal of the Club: To expand the robotics-related skills of club members, form a network of students working towards common goals, expand to participate in official robotics events and competitions, apply relevant abilities and knowledge to projects in a real-world setting, becoming familiarized with working as a collective using industry equipment and technology, creating potential showpieces of robotics innovation for Fanshawe College official events. Develop a legacy plan to ensure sustainability of the club for after the members graduation.

Goal of the Club: The goal of the club will be promoting pride and the 2SLGBTQ community. Making sure peoples voices are heard and that everyone feels safe and welcome here at Fanshawe and in the world that is around us. We as a whole want to make sure people here at Fanshawe are safe and loved for who they are we don't want people to feel left out or feel like they are alone in this world. We have the chance to protect and make these students staff and others feel welcomed and loved and that's the goal for the spectrum club. We strive to make a welcoming and loved space for anyone who wishes to join or even sit in on a club meeting we are here to support everyone and everything no matter what or who you are.

It is not mandatory to have a Faculty or Staff Advisor. However, it is suggested that Program Associations or any Club supported by a College department have a faculty or staff advisor. It is important to remember that these Advisors are there to provide support, not run the day-to-day club activities.

A Club that has a minimum of 10 full-time members (as defined by the Clubs Policy) will receive $500 for the academic year.

Yes! If your Club would like to host an event, the President of the Club must complete an Event & Activity Application at least one week before the event for approval. The President will receive notice via email if the event has been approved or denied. If the event has been approved, planning for the event can begin. Please note: Athletic and/or Sporting events will not be approved under any circumstances. Please include the space you would like to use for your event (i.e. FSU Clubrooms, specific College space, etc.)

An Event & Activity Application must be submitted to the FSU Office before the proposed date of your meeting/event and the FSU will direct the Club to the correct contact within the College.
